Develop:Brighton is a conference, expo and networking event for absolutely everyone involved in developing games.

  • However big or small you are - 14% of our 2021 attendees were people working alone, 23% had over 250 employees and the rest were in-between!
  • Whatever your job function - whether you're a programmer, an artist, a designer or the boss there is a track in the conference focussing on your specific needs or interests. View conference tracks
  • Wherever you come from - we're based in the UK but we have game devs attending and speaking from all over the world.
  • Whatever your organisation does in games - you don't have to develop games to benefit from attending, if you want to meet developers then this is the place to come!
Developers

The Develop:Brighton conference is all about helping game developers make better games. Why re-invent the wheel? Come and learn from other developers, hear about what worked for them (and didn't), discover best practise, practical advice and top tips but more than anything be inspired by each other - both in and out of the sessions - there are plenty of opportunities to share war stories over a beer too! But don't just take our word for it..

"Develop is a chance to exchange knowldege, to get excited - you listen to somebody talk about their experiences, you get inspired, you head back and you work much better." Mark Cerny, Cerny Games

Indies

Competition is tough for indie game devs today and you're often working on small budgets with limited resources. So Develop:Brighton is the perfect place for you to learn all the latest tips, tricks and advice from the best in the business - both the big guys and other indies. We have a dedicated Indie track running across all three days of the conference which covers everything from an Indie perspective - from funding to design, discovery to community management and of course running a successful business, so come and be inspired to make better Indie games!

If your studio has 4 or less employees then you can register for a Micro Indie pass with greatly reduced rates from as little as £100 a day.

As part of the Indie Dev focus, we’re running the the ever popular Indie Showcase competition again so if you have an unpublished game that you'd like to showcase at Develop, submissions open in April and our panel of judges will choose a shortlist of 10 games to be demo'd in the Expo.

Micro Indies

We welcome all developers however small you are and we don't want tight budgets to prevent you guys from attending and missing out on all the latest tips, tricks and advice from the best in the business. So, we've incorporated the indie focused content into the main conference which means you can choose to attend just the indie track sessions on each day, or you can access any of the other sessions in the conference programme.  And if your studio has 4 or less employees then you can register for a Micro Indie pass with greatly reduced rates from as little as £100 a day!
